St. Ignatius Church

This 17th-century church was the second Jesuit church, after the order outgrew its first. The frescos in here are breathtaking. And the structure itself lacks a dome, so the artist painted a 3D image of one in the circular cieling above the crossing. It's difficult to capture the richness and detail here in a photo...this was definitely worth the stop!
